Office 2016 has worked on my El Capitan Macbook Pro for some time-I needed to reinstall and I have found that I cannot install Office 2016 because of what seems to be a recently-placed restriction. Apple just doesn't permit installing a more recent version of MacOS since they'd love me to buy a new computer. There is literally nothing wrong with this Macbook aside from a missing rubber foot. It is fast enough for office work an web browsing, the battery, screen and keyboardĪll still work great as does the wifi.
